Disney screened Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp for members of the media in Los Angeles last night. Following the showing, attendees were allowed to share their first thoughts on the sequel to 2015’s Ant-Man (and the first Marvel movie since Avengers: Infinity War) on social media.
IGN’s Terri Schwartz “had a blast” and thought Ant-Man’s daughter stole the show.
Perri Nemiroff of Collider said she laughed herself to tears at one point.
Also of Collider, Steven Weintraub said Marvel has another winner on its hands.
Yahoo Entertainment and Made in Hollywood’s Kylie Erica Mar said she can’t stop thinking about what happened during the end credit scene.
Simon Thompson of E! News was “grinning from ear to ear” through the whole movie.
/Film’s Peter Sciretta said Michael Pena shines once more.
Drew Taylor of Moviefone provided a tiny take, saying the film is “romantic, energetic and a lot of fun.”
Editor for Deadline, Dino-Ray Ramos, brought the puns in his early impressions.
Entertainment Tonight’s Ash Crossan found it hard to be negative in regards to this film.
Brandon Davis of ComicBook.com called the movie “Marvel’s best sequel since The Winter Soldier.”
HelloGiggles’ Rachel Paige was sold within the first ten minutes.
