Marvel Studios has found its director for their upcoming Black Widow movie.
According to THR, Austrailian director Cate Shortland will helm the film with Scarlett Johansson reprising her role as the deadly assassin. Shortland has received critical praise for her film, Lore, which is certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes with a 94% rating.
Back in May of this year, Variety reported that Marvel Studios had met with more than 65 directors for the project before narrowing the list down to three potential candidates in June. THR claims that Black Widow will take place before the events of the first Avengers movie.
There is no official release date yet.
